We spent a month exploring this astonishing city and can undoubtedly say it is one of Europe’s finest places. With its beautiful architecture rooted in a deep history, aligned with narrow streets filled with bright orange trees, there’s no denying the true beauty of this remarkable city. We’ve written a quick guide to show you the best places to visit. As always, this is a highly touristy city especially in the summer so if you want to get the best photos wake up super early!
Plaza de España
Plaza de España is a stunningly beautiful square located in the heart of the city. Built in 1929 for the Ibero-American Exposition, the square is a remarkable example of Renaissance Revival architecture. The Plaza is made up of a vast semicircular space, with a central fountain and a moat running around its perimeter.
